Community Space
Reading Bike Hub provides bike repairs, bike sales, bike hire, workshops, art, tool hire and a not so secret skatepark in our basement in the winter. We’re a climate emergency centre (CEC) and not for profit who invests any profit back into our community.
Come in for a repair, stay for the art and community.

Reading Bike Hub, more than just bikes a community around wheels, one that’s inclusive, practical and welcoming to everyone, no matter their experience or background. We offer a range of services designed to make active travel in Reading more accessible, affordable and enjoyable.
We accept donations of bikes in any condition. We either refurbish the bike or strip it for parts, and unusable parts are recycled responsibly.

Support Us!
After an amazing 9 months at the Hub and it’s become so much more than we dreamed to continue we need to work with our community to fund it. Any help that we can get goes a long way. If you have some spare change, please support our new crowd funder. This will go towards things like purchasing tools, advertising the space and providing as many free workshops as we can.
If you don’t have the funds to support us right now but do want to get involved we’d love to hear from you. We also need rags for the bike repairs, donated bikes, plants and your time and passion so please do reach out 🙂 .
What We Do
We’re here to help people ride safely and confidently. We are currently providing while-you-wait bike repairs, refurbished bike sales, a kids’ bike library, corporate bike repair services, bike hire, an art wall and a secret skatepark and art take over in our basement.
We need bike and skate donations to keep refurbishing. We sell adult bikes, our kids bikes are free and skates are used to hire people who want to try skating for the first time.
We also host a branch of the Reading Library of things. See the things we have to borrow.
Bike Repairs
Whether it’s a quick puncture repair or a full bike service, our friendly mechanics are here to help keep you rolling.
2nd Hand Bikes
All our bikes have been refurbished to a high standard with bikes between £50 -£800.
Bikes change daily so pop in to see what we have.

Support your team’s wellbeing and encourage sustainable travel with our convenient corporate bike repair services.
Workshops
Our workshops are all about giving you the confidence and skills to look after your own bike.
Bike Hire
Looking to for a short-term bike rental? We got you covered. With a mixture of bikes check out our collection.
Kids' Bike Library
We offer children a chance to have bikes that grow with them as they grow. Bikes from the kids’ bike library can be borrowed for free and returned when the kid(s) outgrow them. We ask for a £40 donation, or what you can afford.
